Any device that has wi-fi enabled capabilities is able to access our Pearland ISD BYOD network. For example, if you have a smartphone without current cell service but is wi-fi enabled, it may be used to access the school BYOD network.
Although the student is responsible for charging and use of the device, here are some simple tips on how to connect your device to the BYOD network.
To log on to the Pearland I.S.D. network, you will need to select PISD-BYOD1 from the wireless connections options on your device.
On a laptop
o At the bottom corner of your PC, right mouse click on the connection
o Make sure you have selected the PISD-BYOD1 network
o On a Mac, you will need to select PISD-BYOD1 from the top right corner
On a wireless device (Tablet, DS, iPod, etc.)
o You will need to select your General Settings App/Wi-Fi- Networks/ and select PISD-BYOD1
When you open your browser to access the internet, you will be prompted with a Pearland ISD user agreement, to which you must select ‘I Agree’ at the bottom. Failure to do so will deny access to BYOD.
Then you will be prompted with a login screen. Log in using your assigned username and password.
